The combination of chemical-physical phenomena and crystal size refinement down to nanometers, allows to MBN Nanomaterialia to realize innovative materials with high efficiency and dense microstructure.
FeCu-Alumina composites are an example of this. They are based on a balance between the lubricating effect of soft areas and the good resistance to abrasion of the harder areas exhibiting outstanding behavior in dry sliding conditions.
Where combination of high electrical conductivity, and low thermal expansion and resistance to erosion by electric arc were necessary, WCu is a good candidate. Modifying the content of Tungsten it is possible to tune electrical and hardness properties on the basis of the specific application.
NiSn composites have enhanced mechanical properties and self-lubricant behavior also at high temperature. They are constituted by a nickel matrix with intermetallic phases able to develop specific oxides at targeted working temperatures. Coating ensures outstanding tribological properties both at high and at room temperature.
