NiCr ODS

NiCr-based oxide dispersion-strengthened (ODS) alloys are engineered for outstanding high-temperature performance. Reinforced with ultra-fine Y₂O₃ nanoparticles, these alloys combine excellent mechanical strength with exceptional resistance to oxidation and thermal fatigue.

The NiCr variants offer:

  • Superior creep and tensile strength up to 1200 °C
  • Excellent resistance to hot gas corrosion and liquid glass
  • Outstanding fatigue resistance even at extreme temperatures
  • High hardness  and structural stability through coarse grain recrystallization
  • Nominal composition: Ni (balance), 20% Cr, ~0.6% Y₂O₃

Thanks to its robust thermal and chemical stability, the NiCr ODS can be used  in:

  • Aerospace and space propulsion components
  • Glass processing equipment
  • High-temperature test rigs

These ODS alloys are manufactured via powder metallurgy method using high-energy mechanical alloying, ensuring homogeneous distribution of strengthening particles and a highly stable microstructure and hot isostaic pressing (HIP) followed by extrusion or rolling to realize long or flat products
