Cool-Coverings project

Development of a novel and cost-effective range of nanotech improved coatings to substantially improve NIR (Near Infrared) reflective properties of the building

Img Cool-Coverings project

Energy-saving buildings and even more efficient and economic insulating systems, are nowadays themes of great interest.
The Cool-coverings project acts in this field and foresees, through the introduction of new nanotechnological solutions, the development of new materials that allow to improve energetic efficiency through the increasing of their reflective power concerning their luminous radiation (especially in the near-infrared).
In this way it will be possible to realize new covering systems both for external and internal use, as wall paints, ceramic tiles and roof membranes having an improved thermal efficiency. Furthermore, the combination of so different functionality will allow to adequately answer to specific applications requirements.
Besides, the project is aimed to the development of covering solutions that are easy to be applied and economical for the building and repairing market in short time.
