Stepup Project

Step up in polymer based RM processes

Img Stepup Project

The project answers to the growing market request to use Rapid Manufacturing technologies, in a simple and wide way, not only to fabricate prototypes, but also final components suitable to be immediately used.
Stepup project, through a proper design, the substantial innovation of materials employed, and so through the development of new polymer-based nanocomposites, will allow to develop some important innovations so that tridimensional objects realized through this technique, would be have improved performances (processing temperature, strengthening, conductivity….)
Shortly, the project will allow, using the existing selective laser sintering machines (SLS), to build up free-form and customized objects, to widen the possible application range, and to permit their use for the production on a larger industrial scale.
